2008-2009 Green and Gold Club
The Green and Gold Club will honor an outstanding male and female athlete each month. In-season coaches nominate athletes based on their performance during that month, and final decisions are made by the director and assistant director of athletics.

September Green & Gold Club Athletes
Two Herkimer County Community College student-athletes were selected for the College's Green and Gold Club for the month of September.
  Men's soccer team captain Lee Martins, a freshman from Bridgeport, Connecticut, has been selected for scoring 14 goals and 7 assists in the month of September. He has scored in eight of 12 games, including the first four goals of the Generals' 5-0 win over North Country Community College. Head soccer coach Pepe Aragon said, "Lee is a tremendous finisher with exceptional speed." Lee has also recently been named Region III Male Athlete of the Week.
Volleyball player Tiffany Conroy, of Wampsville, has also been chosen for the Green and Gold Club for her outstanding performance on the court and academic achievements. A freshman defensive specialist, Conroy is leading her team with 113 digs, 57 assists, 8 aces and 4 kills. Coach Kristy Lynch said, "Tiffany's excellent demeanor on and off the court is an example to all. She displays confidence and focus on the court and is continually bettering those around her."
