Alexis Romeyn Signs With Herkimer Generals Women’s Soccer

Local standout Alexis Romeyn from Oppenheim-Ephratah- St. Johnsville has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Herkimer Generals in the fall of 2017. Romeyn had an exceptional high school career earning many honorable accolades. Romeyn has been named 3 times a WAC League All-Star (the last 2 years she was 1st Team), a two time Section 2 1st Team All-Star, NYSSWA 4TH Team All-State as a junior & NYSSWA 1ST Team All-State as a senior. During her time at O.E.S.J. she has helped her team claim two Section 2 Championships, 1 State Regional Championship, & a Final Four appearance.  Romeyn will add more offensive punch to an already high octane Herkimer Generals offense.

Not only does Romeyn perform on the field, she is model student-athlete that excels in the classroom and gives back to the community. Having consistently been named to the honor roll & high honor roll, she was inducted as a member of the National Junior Honor Society her sophomore year and has been a member since. In the community she has served as a coach for U-10 AYSO, U-12 AYSO, and little league girls softball. She also plays basketball and was named the best defensive player last year.

“We are extremely excited to have Lex join our family here at Herkimer. She is a very talented player who will make an impact right away for us,” said Head Coach Jason Palkovic. “Not only are we getting a great player but a great person who leads by example in the classroom and in the community.”
