We take campus safety and security seriously. With an outstanding campus safety staff and emergency services like the NY Alert System, students and parents can rest assured that safety is a top priority. From our campus siren to our blue light emergency phones and nighttime auxiliary program, we are constantly improving our security systems. We’re Here When You Need Us
- Herkimer County 911 Center (911) Emergencies only. Officers are dispatched 24 hours a day.
- Campus Safety Office (315-574-4020 or x8616) Non-emergencies only. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Located in CA138. Please call ahead.
- Director of Campus Safety (315-574-4009) Monday through Friday during office hours. Located in CA263 in the Dean of Students office suite.
- Assistant Director of Campus Safety (315-866-0300 x8499) Works evenings and provides night supervision for the department.
- Counseling Center (315-574-4034) Located in CA 310.

Blue Light Emergency Phones
Outdoor emergency phones can be found around campus marked by blue lights above the phone. Push the emergency button inside the box to be immediately connected to 911.
