Academic Advisement for Online Students

Your success is our top priority.

Generals Online students are so successful because of our excellent support services and personal attention. As an online student, you’ll be assigned an academic advisor who knows your academic program, and can provide assistance and answer questions. You’ll stay with that academic advisor until you complete your education or change your major.

Contact your advisor on a regular basis - especially when you have a question, and to ensure all graduation requirements are met.

The Herkimer College Academic Advisement Center is here to help get you started every step of the way. We help by: 

• assigning academic advisors to Internet Academy students
• assisting new students with placement score interpretation and initial course registration
• assisting all students with course selection, schedule adjustments, curriculum/ major changes, referrals, and counseling on the impact of each academic decision
