Raymond Lenarcic

For his dedicated service as an educator, mentor, leader, advocate, volunteer, and author.

As a founding faculty member, Professor Lenarcic influenced the early development and growth of the College as a division chair, history professor, and supporter of athletics. He instilled in his students the importance of keeping an open mind, putting words into action, and participating in community service. Mr. Lenarcic was instrumental in establishing the Herkimer County Veterans Memorial Park on campus, and he ensured the College’s participation in community service initiatives including the Students for a Better World, Kris Cagwin Volunteers, Gram Lorraine Children’s Christmas Program, Herkimer County Hunger Coalition, and the Fallen Stars Memorial Project. In retirement, Mr. Lenarcic has continued to educate through his many published stories and articles.
