MANSFIELD, PA – 11 days removed from their last competition, the Herkimer Generals track & field program traveled to Mansfield University (PA) on Saturday (4/23) for the Under the Lights Invitational.

Getting three of those individually was Christopher Simmons (Utica, NY). The sophomore didn’t beat any of his personal bests on the season, but did place third in the 100-meter dash (11.11), fourth in the 400-meter dash (51.38) and second in the triple jump (13.40m). No other male had as many top finishes as Simmons, seeing Demetrius Moore (Cleveland, OH) place fifth in the 400-meter dash (51.85), Kenwyn Gibbs Jr. (Brooklyn, NY) place 10th in 400-meter hurdles, Norman Clayton (Bronx, NY) place eighth in the 10,000-meter run (37:40.22) and Tyrique Rideau (Westchester, NY) place 10th in the javelin throw (38.04m).
