Herkimer County Community College Trustee Appointment
Alison Eyre Albright, of Old Forge, New York, has been appointed by the Herkimer County Legislature to the Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees for a term to expire on June 30, 2023. She will fill the seat formerly held by Robert Brenchley, whose term expired on June 30, 2016 after serving on the Board for five years.
Albright is certified in Adolescent and Young Adulthood English Education by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, and holds an M.A. in Secondary English Education from SUNY Albany and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Rochester. She taught high school English at Canandaigua Academy from September 1987 until her retirement in June 2015. She also served on several district and building level committees including School Improvement Committee, Parental Involvement Committee, and various English department and building subcommittees, mentored new English teachers, presented professional development workshops, and served as a reader for the College Board from 2003-2013.
