Herkimer College Students Honored with Who’s Who Award
Herkimer County Community College honored 23 students in May for their selection to Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges, an award which recognizes outstanding scholastic, leadership and community accomplishments.
Recipients of the award were Ashley Brown (Birmingham, England), Thomas Callister (Castletown, Isle of Man), Jacob Cardinal (Newport), Andrew Cieply (Barneveld), Teddi Cromling (Ilion), Connor Doogan (Belfast, Ireland), Patrick Dorrian (Kingston), Cavon Elias (Bronx), Esteban Galvez-Ospina (White Plains), Tonya Hayes (Sherrill), Lauren Leone (Albany), Ashley Marshall (Oneida), Timothy McKenzie (Central Islip), Jordan Mercer (Oneida), Anthony Mincarelli (Ilion), JaNay Mucitelli (Whitesboro), Seth Olson, Lindsey Parese (Herkimer), Michael Sarpen (Dolgeville), Daykota Snyder (Massena), Tianderah Twichell (West Winfield), Kelsey White (Herkimer) and Meghan Whitmoyer (Blossvale).
“These students have demonstrated their commitment to academic success, community service and co-curricular involvement,” said Dean of Students Dr. Matthew Hawes. “It’s a pleasure to be able to recognize them for their outstanding contributions to the campus and community!”
Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges is a national honors program. Each year, faculty and staff have the opportunity nominate students who exemplify our institution through their outstanding participation and leadership in academics and extracurricular activities. To qualify, a student must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, must have completed at least 30 college credit hours and be involved in an extracurricular or community activity.
