Herkimer Men's JV drops season opener at Green Mountain

Poultney, VT - The Herkimer JV Men's Basketball team opened their 2018-2019 season with a 75-44 loss to Green Mountain (VT) JV on Friday night in Poultney, Vermont. Green Mountain jumped out to a 36-19 lead at the half and cruised to victory as the Generals only shot 25% from the field for the game.

Matt Barton (Frankfort, NY) came off the bench to lead Herkimer with 12 points on the night, which all came on 4 3 point field goals. Austyn Green (Bronx, NY) chipped in as the only other General in double figures for the night with 10 points. Dave Henderson (Utica, NY) led Herkimer in rebounds with 11.

The Generals will look for their first win of the season as they host Union College Club in their home opener on Monday, Nov 5. Start time at the Herkimer Varsity Gym is set for 6:00 PM.
