Herkimer Swimming and Diving open 2018-2019 season at Cazenovia

Cazenovia, NY -  The Herkimer College Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving team opened their 2018-2019 campaign at the Cazenovia Invitational on Saturday, Nov 3. The Generals began the season with some string performances and had 2 swimmers achieve national qualifying times in multiple events.

Senior Amanda Mascia (Matoaca, VA) finished in first place in all three of her scored events with national qualifying times in the 50, 100, and 200 Freestyle events. Freshman Halia Todd (Schuyler, NY) also put up national qualifying times in the 50, 100, and 200 Freestyle as well, placing 4th in all three events in first ever collegiate swim meet. Chereima Johnson (New York, NY) swam a personal best in the 50 Freestyle. 

For the men, Nick Flores (Ossining, NY) finished in second place in the 50 Freestyle.

The Generals look to build on their strong debut in their next meet as they travel to Utica College on Friday, Nov 9. Start time is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
