Herkimer JV Baseball wins Program debut over Utica College JV

Utica, NY - Herkimer Baseball won its inaugural Junior Varsity game against Utica College JV on April 3 in Utica, NY Doug R. ando got the win  for the Generals giving up 1 hit in 2 innings with 3 strikeouts. Hiromasa Tanaka(3rd inning) Masaki Furadono (4th inning) and Yung-Jin Jhee (5th inning)preserves the shutout while all racking up strikeouts during their inning of work.

 Offensively the Generals were lead by Cedric Rose, Zach Nell, Trevor Porter. Rose drove in 4 runs while Nell and Porter both drove in 2. In addition, Nell also scores 4 runs on the day.

 The big blow of the game came in the 2nd inning when Porter connected with his first Home Run of the season.

 The Generals are back in action at Utica College Wednesday April 10th. First pitch is scheduled for 2 PM.
