Faculty Promotions
The Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees took action recently to recognize several faculty through promotion, effective September 1, 2019.
Rocco Cornacchia was promoted from instructor to assistant professor of mathematics. Cornacchia was hired in the academic support center in 2012. He holds an A.A.S. from Mohawk Valley Community College, a B.A. from Utica College and an M.A. from the University at Albany.
Jennifer Herzog was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of biology. She was appointed to the faculty in 2001 and holds a B.S. from Utica College and an M.S. from Yale University. Herzog received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2014.
Lindsey Taube was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of mathematics. She was hired in the learning center in 2007 and holds a B.A. from Nazareth College and an M.S. from Utica College.
Dr. John McLean was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor in social science. He was appointed to the faculty in 2009 and holds a B.A. from St. John Fisher College and an M.A. and Ph.D. from SUNY Buffalo.
President Cathleen C. McColgin said, “I’d like to congratulate the faculty members recognized this year through promotion in rank. We are fortunate to have such highly credentialed, experienced and dedicated individuals on our faculty.”
