Men's Soccer completes undefeated regular season with 12-0 win at Finger Lakes

Finger Lakes – Eight different Generals scored in Herkimer men’s soccer team 12-0 win at Finger Lakes CC.  Sophomore Shemar Blair (Brampton, Ontario, Canada)opened up the scoring in the 7th minute off an assist from sophomore Mupenzi Irakiza (Syracuse, NY).  Irakiza scored a minute later in the 8th minute off an assist from freshman Alex Charles (Christ Church, St. Kitts).  Sophomore Jaahdel Cyril (Bridgeport, Connecticut) scored in the 12th minute off a pass from Irakiza.  Blair scored his second goal of the game in the 26th minute off an assist from sophomore Gian-Luca Fahling (Domat, Switzerland).  Freshman Ikiel Collins-Brown (Highland Mills, NY) scored the fifth goal of the game in the 28th minute off an assist from Irakiza.  Charles scored the next two goals in the 36th and 42nd minute.  His first goal came off an assist from freshman Minato Nakayama (Hyogo, Japan).  Irakiza assisted on Charles second goal.  Sophomore Riley Urie (West Glover, Vermont) scored the next three goals of the game.  His first goal was assisted by Ryotaro Hayashi (Osaka, Japan) in the 51st minute.  Sophomore Van Moussavou (Libreville, Gabon) assisted on Urie’s goal in the 57th minute.  Urie completed his hat trick in the 61st minute off an assist from freshman Mitchell Bourdeau (St. Albans, Vermont).  Bourdeau scored the eleventh goal of the game in the 65th minute off an assist from sophomore Tokiwa Yoshida (Hiroshima, Japan).  Freshman Jose Ramos Santos (Bridgeport, Connecticut) scored the final goal of the game in the 85th minute off an assist from Bourdeau.

 

Sophomore goalkeeper Tinius Klausen (Oslo, Norway) recorded 2 saves in forty-five minutes of play.  Freshman Manabu Takahashi (Osaka, Japan) had one save in the second half.  The Generals finished their regular season with a record of 16-0-0 and ranked #2 in the NJCAA national poll.  They now wait on the Region III seeding’s to see who they will take on in their regional semi-final game on Thursday, October 31st.
