Herkimer College’s Small Business Management degree ranks among top in nation

Herkimer County Community College’s Small Business Management A.A.S. degree has been ranked among the top programs of its kind in the nation by Intelligent.com for 2021.
Analysts at Intelligent.com, known as a trusted resource for program rankings and insights into higher education, assessed 329 small business management programs from 210 accredited colleges and universities across the United States. Each program was evaluated based on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation, and post-graduate employment.
Herkimer College’s Small Business Management A.A.S. degree, which can be completed on-campus or entirely online through the Internet Academy, earned an overall score of 91.93, putting it at No. 18 with a special nod for fastest completion time. The degree also ranked among the top online small business management degree programs, earning the No. 24 spot among 336 programs from 140 colleges and universities.
The 64 credit associate of applied science degree is designed for students who would like to own and operate their own business and provides the essential entrepreneurial tools needed to get a business up and running. Coursework teaches skills such as developing solid business plans, training with relevant business software applications, learning how to organize a sole proprietorship or form a partnership, and how to prepare budgets—these skills are also applicable to anyone interested in an entry-level business management position.
