Takahashi Posts Shutout against MVCC

Herkimer NY- On Wednesday night, The #2 ranked Herkimer Generals hosted #3 ranked MVCC Hawks and the long awaited showdown didn’t disappoint. The game stayed knotted at a 0-0 tie through the first 75 minutes of the game until sophomore Midfielder Ikiel Collins-Brown (Monroe, New York) pounded in a header to put the Generals up 1-0. On the goal, Collins- Brown was assisted by Ali Somow (Utica, New York).

Herkimer Sophomore Goalkeeper Manabu Takahashi (Osaka, Japan) had 7 saves on the night, posting his second straight shutout of the season. The thrilling win brings the Generals to 5-0 on the season. 

The Generals are back in action Saturday (10/2) at 3pm when they travel to #6 Ranked Genesee CC Cougars, for a Regional Matchup.
