#13 Ranked Generals Improve to 5-0

Herkimer NY-The #13 Herkimer Generals riding a 3 game winning streak welcomed Corning CC Red Barons and Finger Lake CC Lakers into town this weekend.

The Generals squared off with Corning Saturday 11/13 and quickly jumped on them in the first half leading 39-26 at the half. The Generals scored 39 more points in the second half to draw the final score to 78-52. 

The Generals were led by Kapri Bradshaw (Uniondale, NY) who went for 31 points, 3 assists, 1 rebounds and 1 block. Freshman forward’s Nazjae Howard (Syracuse, NY) and Jenna Faulkner(Otego, NY) filled up the stat sheets for the Generals. Howard had 15 points with 18 assists, while Faulkner went for 8 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals.

Sunday, the Generals the Lakers and went back and forth the first 2 quarters, advantage to the Generals 30-25 at the half. The Generals exploded the second half putting up 40 while only giving up 14 en route to a 70-39 Win. Improving the Generals to 5-0 on the season.

Faulkner and Howard both once again led the Generals. Faulkner went for 15 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks and 2 steals. Howard added 12 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block. Guard Kapri Bradshaw added 12 points on afternoon with 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal on the night. 

Head Coach Matt Hazzard said “It was a great way to end the week. Each game were seeing growth on an individual and team effort. We have good depth and unselfishness on this team and that was evident seeing 5 players score double digits Sunday”.

The #13 ranked Generals are back in action this week for 3 games. They travel to Jefferson CC Thursday (11/18), Broome CC Saturday (11/20) and return home Sunday (11/21) to take on MVCC.
