Herkimer College Accepting Nominations for Torchbearer Award

Herkimer College is accepting nominations for the 2024 class of Torchbearer Award recipients. 

The Torchbearer Awards are presented every five years to recognize individuals who have made a significant and lasting impact on Herkimer College’s development and growth. Individuals may be nominated posthumously for the Torchbearer Award. 

Award recipients will be honored at a ceremony in the fall of 2024. To date, there have been 26 individuals recognized with the prestigious Torchbearer Award. 

The nomination form, information regarding eligibility criteria, and a complete list of past recipients are available at www.herkimer.edu/torchbearers. Recommendations for the class of 2024 will be made by a selection committee to the College Board of Trustees, which then has final approval of the selections. 

Nominations can be submitted online or mailed to Rebecca Ruffing, Director of Public Relations, Herkimer College, 100 Reservoir Rd., Herkimer, NY 13350. All nominations must be received no later than April 30, 2024.
