Presidential Search Update

I am pleased to report to the campus community on the status of the presidential search.
The Presidential Search Committee held its first meeting recently and is now in the process of
identifying candidates for confidential first-round interviews later this week.

Following first-round interviews, we anticipate having four to five finalists who will have the
opportunity to visit campus and tour the service area. Campus visits will include meetings with
various campus stakeholder groups, an open forum, and an interview with the Board of
Trustees. The selected dates to place calendar holds are:
• Thursday, May 1, 2025
• Friday, May 2, 2025
• Monday, May 5, 2025
• Tuesday, May 6, 2025
• Wednesday, May 7, 2025

We anticipate announcing the names of candidates visiting for the second round of interviews
on Monday, April 28. Agendas for each campus visit will be forthcoming as the dates approach.
Following campus visits, the Board will select three candidates to forward to the SUNY
Chancellor on May 12. The final successful candidate will then be selected and forwarded to the
SUNY Board of Trustees at a special board meeting on May 21.
