Generals drop season opener to Monroe

Rochester, N.Y. - The mens JV basketball team traveled to Monroe CC for their season opener to face a tough opponent in their first game.  Monroe would take down Herkimer in their season opener 87-59.  Top scorers Jonatan Maehlum (Ammerud, Oslo, Norway) and Mikel Knight (Brooklyn, NY) were credited with 26 of Herkimer's 59 points on the night.  Terrelle McLaughlin (Philadelphia, PA) ended up with 5 assists and 5 rebounds in the losing effort.  

The team will host their next game on 11/5 at 12 pm.  Herkimer will play against Paul Smith's College in their home opener.
