Purcell and George combine for 5 goals in win over Ocean County College

Herkimer, NY - Freshman Kristen Purcell (Sauquoit, NY) scored 3 goals and Sophomore Sarah George (Dolgeville, NY) added 2 more as the Herkimer Generals Women's Soccer team earned a 7-1 win over Ocean County College (NJ) on the second day of the 2018 Coliseum Kickoff Classic hosted by Herkimer College. The win moves the # 2 nationally ranked Generals to 2-0 on the young season.

Purcell and George also added an assist apiece as Herkimer raced out to a 4-0 halftime lead and never looked back. Sophomores Maddie Renshaw (Herkimer, NY) and Alexis Romeyn (St. Johnsville, NY) each added a goal and an assist to complete the Generals scoring on the afternoon. 

Next up for the Generals is a home date with the Onondaga Community College Lazers on Thursday, Aug 30 at Wehrum Stadium. Game time is set for 4:30 PM.
