#3 Herkimer shuts out # 9 Onondaga CC 4-0

Herkimer, NY - Playing their third straight nationally ranked opponent to start the season, the #3 Herkimer Generals Men's Soccer team shut out the #9 Onondaga CC Lazers by a score of 4-0 on Thursday night at Wehrum Stadium. The win improves the Generals record to 3-0 to start the season.

Freshman Shemar Blair (Brampton, Ontario) paced the Generals attack with two goals on the evening. Mupenzi Irakiza (Syracuse, NY) scored a second half goal on a penalty kick and added two assists on the evening. Tarik Moussaoui (Oslo, Norway) added a goal in the win. In goal, Aubrey Lowe (Toronto, Ontario) and Stian Klausen (Oslo, Norway) each played a half for the third straight game, combining for the Generals third straight shutout to start the season.

Herkimer gets six day off before hosting conference foe SUNY Adirondack on Wednesday, September 5th. They will play the first game of the soccer doubleheader that evening against the Timberwolves. Game time is set for 4:30 PM.
