# 1 Herkimer defeats Clinton CC 10-0

Herkimer, NY - The Herkimer Generals Women's Soccer team raced out to an 8-0 halftime lead and defeated Clinton Community College by a score of 10-0 on Sunday afternoon at Wehrum Stadium. The win lifts the Generals record to 6-0 on the season and 2-0 in the Mountain Valley Conference.

It was a balanced attack for the #1 Nationally Ranked Generals as Haley Harrington (Munnsville, NY) and Maddie Renshaw (Herkimer, NY) scored 2 goals apiece to lead Herkimer. Single goals were scored by Kristen Purcell (Sauquoit, NY), Sarah George (Dolgeville, NY), Alyse Griffin (Camden, NY), Alexys Romeyn (St. Johnsville, NY) and Maecee Lathers (Fort Plain, NY) to add to the Generals scoring. One of the highlights of the day was Freshman Bailey Coffey (Canton, NY) scoring her first collegiate goal.  (Senior Rachel Todd ( MCGraw, NY) and Jordan Zaccagnino (Cherry Valley, NY) once again split time in goal, giving the Generals their 4th shutout in 6 games. 

Next up for Herkimer is a Wednesday afternoon Mountain Valley Conference match in Saranac Lake, NY against North Country Community College. Game time is set for 2:00 PM.
