Women's Soccer earn All Conference and All Region Awards
Herkimer, NY— The Herkimer Generals women’s soccer team, fresh of their 4th Region III Championship in five years, has placed six athletes on the 2018 All-Region and All-Mountain Valley Conference teams. The Generals enter the NJCAA Division III National Championships at Rock Valley Community College (IL) with a record of 13-3-1.
Coach Jason Palkovic won the Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year award and five of his athletes placed on the First Team All-Conference. Making the team were Maddie Renshaw (Herkimer NY), Caira Miles (Little Falls, NY), Sarah George (Dolgeville, NY), Ashley Capron (Burnt Hills, NY) and goalie Rachel Todd (McGraw, NY).
Senior Rachael Gross (Dolgeville, NY) joined George, Todd, and Renshaw on the 2018 First Team All-Region III. Capron earned Second Team All-Region honors.
The Generals, ranked #7 in the latest NJCAA Division III National Poll, await their seed and opponent for the National Championships, which will be held on Nov 8-11 in Rockford, Illinois.
