Herkimer Women earns # 5 Seed in National Tournament

Herkimer, NY- The Herkimer College women’s soccer team has earned the #5 seed in the NJCAA Division III Women’s Soccer National Championships, which will be held at Rock Valley Community College in Rockford, Illinois on November 8-11. The Generals will play #4 seed Brookdale (NJ) in a National Quarterfinal Game on Thursday, November 8 at 1:30 ET (12:30 CT).

Herkimer, ranked #7 in the latest NJCAA Division III National Poll, clinched their fourth trip to the National Championships in the last 5 years with a 2-0 win over #1 ranked Erie Community College in the Region IIIA Championship.

The Generals will enter the National Championships with a record of 13-3-1. Last year, Herkimer made it to the National Championship Game, losing in overtime to Brookhaven. All National Tournament games will be streamed live at www.njcaatv.com.
