Generals Can't Hold Off Lakers

Herkimer NY-Herkimer hosted Finger Lakes Community College Tuesday (10/12) in there first of three games this week. 

Kate Blough (Elka Park, NY) pounded in the first goal of the day to put the Generals up 1-0, the goal was assisted by regional assist leader, Hailey Traut (Frankfort, NY). The General's kept the momentum through the early part of the second half with goals from Hailey Traut, assisted by Kayla Suppa (Oneida, NY) and Kayla Suppa assisted by Faith Stewart(Little Falls, NY). The scoring wasn't enough for the Generals though, The Lakers answered back with 3 straight goals including one in the last 90 seconds game to knock off the Generals 4-3. 

Coach Damon Neish Noted "That was tough, we were no where near our best, it was our sloppiest game of the year. Our defense couldn't retain possession, our midfield didn't compete properly and our forwards missed chance after chance. We can do better."

The Generals are back in action Thursday (10/14) Hosting Onondaga CC Lazers for a 4:30 Start at Wehrum Stadium. The Sophomores will be honored before the game.
