Collins-Brown Hits Game Winner to Lead Generals in 4-3 Win

Herkimer NY- The Herkimer Generals hosted regional opponent Finger Lakes Community College Lakers on Tuesday 10/12. The Lakers jumped out ahead 1-0 in the 19th minute, but Herkimer midfielder Ali Somow(Utica, NY) quickly answered back tying the game up from Ikiel Collins-Browns(Monroe, NY) assist. The Laker's followed up with two straight goals and led the Generals 3-1 through 69 minutes. Yamato Fujishima (Saitama City, Japan) cut the FLCC lead to 3-2 when he pounded in his 4th goal of the year assisted by Mitchell Bourdeau (Swanton, Vermont). Bourdeau got in the scoring column soon after when he tied the game up on from a rare assist by keeper Manabu Takahashi. 

The Generals and Lakers stayed knotted through the end of regulation and into overtime when Ikiel Collins-Brown hit the game winner for the Generals. Collins-Brown final goal, was assisted by Max LaRosa and moved the Generals to 7-1 on the season.

The Generals are back in action on Wednesday night against the Onondaga CC Lazers at Wehrum Stadium for a 7pm start.
