Herkimer NY- Hailey Traut (Frankfort,NY), Kayla Suppa(Oneida, NY) and Natalie Little(Whitesboro, NY) all were recently named to the 2021 All-Region Soccer Team. Traut lead the nation in assists with 17 and finished the season with 13 goals to lead the Generals in both categories. Kayla Suppa had another amazing year for the Generals finishing the season with 11 goals and 7 assist. Suppa, the two sport standout made the All-Region team in both soccer and volleyball. In addition, Traut and Suppa both won All Mountain Valley conference 1st team as well. Freshman Natalie Little selflessly switched positions this fall, moving from midfielder to defense and progressively got better every week for the Generals. Her versatility stabilized the team and allowed Traut and Suppa to lead the General offensively.

Head Coach Damon Neish noted “I am incredibly proud of the work this group of young female athlete's has done over the last six months. In what was a very challenging season they worked together to improve, to compete and to work towards a common goal… Kayla, Hailey and Natalie were three big assets to the team. Hailey and Kayla got a lot of the headlines with the goals and the assists but where they were most influential was before, after and in between games. Hailey not only lead the team in goals and assists but she led the team at every practice, she didn't miss a single practice all year and the way she approached sessions and games was incredibly professional”.

Neish went on to say, “Kayla is a natural leader, she organizes players, she holds everyone, including herself to the highest of standards and will let anyone, including the coaching staff know if we are falling below what should be expected. A popular girl in the locker room, her focus is always on doing everything possible to win the next game whatever that takes”. “Natalie grew up so much this year. She started the year as a Center Midfielder but due to needs on the team moved back to defense early in the season. A decision she was not thrilled with, but one she understood and took on like an absolute champion. She shined in games against North Country and Mohawk Valley, shutting down our conferences best players and dominating both with and without the ball”.
