Men’s Soccer Receives Post Season Awards

HERKIMER, NY- After a stellar fall (12-2, Regional Champion and National Runner-Up) the Herkimer Generals have received several post season honors. 2021 Mountain Valley Coach of the Year Pepe Aragon noted “All of these guys are well deserved for these awards. All of them had a great season and were a big part of us getting to the national championship game”.

 

The Herkimer College student-athletes on the All-Region Team are:

 Ali Somow was voted as the 2021 Regional Player of the Year.

  • Max LaRosa, Midfielder (Spencerport, NY)
  • Ikiel Collins-Brown, Midfielder (Highland Mills, NY)
  • Ali Somow, Forward (Utica, NY)
  • Will Leary (Crowbrough, England)
  • Manabu Takahashi, Goalkeeper (Osaka, Japan)

 LaRosa, Collins-Brown, Somow, Leary and Takahashi all have been named All-Region for the second straight season.

The Herkimer College student-athletes on the Mountain Valley All-Conference Team are:

Max LaRosa was voted as the 2021 Mountain Valley Conference Player or the Year and Head Coach Pepe Aragon was voted the 2021 Co-Coach of the Year.
