44 Herkimer College Student-Athletes Named to NJCAA All-Academic Teams; Five Herkimer Generals Teams Recognized on NJCAA List of All-Academic Teams
Five Herkimer College athletic teams and 44 student-athletes were recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for academic achievement in 2022-2023. The NJCAA released the annual lists of All-Academic Teams and Academic Teams of the Year on Monday, July 17. The Generals led Region III with the largest number of students and teams recognized.
The men’s golf, men's cross country, men's soccer, women's track and field, and women's basketball teams were represented on the list of NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year. The men’s golf team earned a 3.46 cumulative GPA, the highest for all Herkimer College teams this year.
Student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA during the academic year were named to the All-Academic first team, those who achieved a 3.80-3.99 GPA were named to the second team, and those with a 3.60-3.79 GPA were named to the third team. They are as follows:
