Herkimer College Seeks Entries for Makers of the Mohawk Valley

Herkimer College will present Makers of the Mohawk Valley beginning Friday, August 30. The exhibit will feature art and other fine crafted objects produced by individuals ages 18 and above who live or work in the Mohawk Valley.

Artists who wish to be considered for the show must drop off their artwork on Friday, August 23 from 4-6 p.m. and Saturday, August 24 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Artists may submit up to two art pieces created in the last three years. Artwork may include 2D and 3D fine arts, pottery, photography, video, textile arts, glass, and woodworking. All submissions must be ready to display. Two-dimensional work must be ready to hang. Three-dimensional work must be no larger than 72 inches in any direction. Artists who submit any video work must provide their own equipment for display.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. The opening will take place on Friday, August 30 with a reception from 5-7 p.m. in the Cogar Gallery. The show will conclude on Friday, September 27.
