Herkimer College to Show Film 9/11

Herkimer College will hold a September 11th remembrance event from 7:00 pm. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11th in the Robert McLaughlin College Center Amphitheater (room 288).

The event will begin with a brief facilitated discussion focusing on what the historical legacy of the events of September 11, 2001 may be, and the question of how the relevance of those events can be maintained for successive generations.

At 7:30 p.m., there will be a showing of the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning film 9/11, by Jules and Gedeon Naudet. The two French brothers were making a film about becoming a New York City firefighter and ended up recording a chilling record of the terrorist attack of the World Trade Center. The film contains strong language and graphic images.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Daniel Sargent at 315-866-0300 ext. 8525 or sargentda@herkimer.edu.
