Herkimer Generals softball earns No. 3 seed in 2021 NJCAA Division III National Championship Tournament

HERKIMER, NY—The Herkimer Generals women’s softball team has earned the No. 3 seed in the 2021 NJCAA Division III Softball National Tournament. The tournament begins on Thursday, May 27 at Carrier Park in Syracuse, NY.

The Generals will begin their quest for a second national championship under head coach P.J. Anadio with a 1:00 PM EST game against the No. 6 seed College of Dupage (IL) Chaparrals.

The Generals (22-4) enter the tournament as the Region III B Champions and will be participating in the Division III National Tournament for the ninth straight year under Coach Anadio. Herkimer won the national title in 2013 and has finished as national runner-up in five out of the last six years.

• 10 a.m.: No. 8 Rainy River (MN) vs No. 1 Rock Valley (IL)
• 10 a.m.: No. 5 Rowan-Gloucester (NJ) vs. No. 4 North Dakota SCS
• 1 p.m.: 7 Suffolk CC (NY) vs No. 2 Corning CC (NY)
• 1 p.m.: 6 College of Dupage (IL) vs No. 3 Herkimer (NY)
