POLICY STATEMENT:  It is the policy of the Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees that it will actively engage in activities that foster positive working relationships with the State University of New York Board of Trustees and System Administration; the State Education Department; the New York State Association of Community College Trustees; and other governmental bodies and agencies, consistent with the college mission. 

BACKGROUND:  The Board of Trustees, in discussions related to this issue, has committed itself to the responsibility of working with state and local agencies to accomplish this objective and, thus, enhance and increase opportunities for the College to carry out its mission.
