POLICY STATEMENT:  It is the policy of the Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees to advocate for an increase in the local sponsor budget share to support the established percentile of annual budget expenses commensurate with SUNY and state recommendations.

BACKGROUND:  State Law defines the local sponsor’s share of the annual cost of operating SUNY affiliated community college campuses.  The Board of Trustees, in discussions relating to this issue, has committed itself to the responsibility of working with the Herkimer County Legislature to accomplish this objective consistently over time.
