Herkimer Bowling Hosts Conference Tournament

Ilion, NY--  The Herkimer Generals Bowling team hosted the Mohawk Valley Conference Tournament Friday January 27th at State Bowl in Ilion, NY.  The match hosted Herkimer, Adirondack, Fulton Montgomery, Hudson Valley, Mohawk Valley, and Schenectady.  The Herkimer Generals Men's team finished 5th after the first round of three games with a team score of 2435.  High bowlers in this series were Hunter Guest (Middleburgh, NY) with a series score 602 and a 246 game 2 score; and Brendon Budd (Norwich, NY) with a 540 series.  The men also finished fifth in the second series with a team score of 2512.  In this series Ean Hayner (Kingston, NY) scored a 610, with a high game of 222.

The women finished third in both series.  The first with a team score of 2,003 and the second improved with a team score of 2099.  Top bowlers in the first match were Korena Kinney (Taberg, NY) with a 509 series and high game of 192.  Megan Durgan (Rome, NY) scored just behind Korena with a series 1 total of 502 and a high game of 219.  Durgan also led the Generals in the second series with a three game total of 567 and a high game of 194.  Along side her was Haley Bertella (Canastota, NY) with a 552 and a high game of 215.

The Generals will bowl next at Schenectady Saturday February 4th at 9AM.
