Men's Soccer wins 7-1 on the road.

Johnstown, NY – The Herkimer men’s soccer team defeated Fulton Montgomery CC 7-1.  Freshman midfielder Tarik Moussaoui (Oslo, Norway) scored three goals in the Generals first game on the road.  Sophomore Chris Capaldo (Smithtown, NY) opened up scoring in the 20th minute from an assist from freshman Gian Luca Fahling ((Dowat, Switzerland).  Freshman Shemar Blair (Brampton, Ontario, Canada) scored the second goal in the 23rd minute of an assist from Capaldo.  Moussaoui recorded his first collegiate hat trick scoring the next three goals. 

 

His first goal was in the 29th  minute off an assist from freshman Jaahdel Cyril (Bridgeport, CT).  Moussaoui second goal was in the 39th  minute off an assist from Fahling.  He finished off his scoring in the 43rd minutes off an assist from freshman Mupenzi Irakiza (Syracuse, NY).  Capaldo finished off the first half scoring in the 44th minute off an assist from Irakiza.

 

The Generals conceded their first goal of the season from Raiders sophomore Cameron Biche who scored off a corner kick from sophomore Jefferson Jurado in the 53rd minute.  Cyril finished off the scoring for the Generals in the 68th minute off an assist from freshman Riley Urie ( West Glover, Vermont).  Goalkeeper Aubrey Lowe ( Toronto, Ontario, Canada) recorded 2 saves and conceded one goal in 70 minutes of play.  Freshman goalkeeper Julio Gomez (Bedview, South Africa)finished out the last twenty minutes of play recording two saves.  The Generals are back on the road on September 12th where they take on Tompkins Cortland CC for a 6:30pm kickoff.
