Faulkner, Bradshaw Lead Generals to 26 Point Win at Tompkins Cortland CC

The undefeated Herkimer Generals women's basketball team traveled Tuesday to take on the Tompkins Cortland CC Panthers. The Generals jumped out ahead 28-11 after the first half , then cruised to a 66-40 win to finish off the Panthers in the second half. 

The Generals were led by freshman standout Jenna Faulkner (Otego, NY) with had 23 points, 9 rebounds, 7 steals and 5 blocks. Sophomore guard Kapri Bradshaw (Uniondale, NY) went for 13 points, 11 Rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals while freshman, Lynn Wright (Mohawk, NY) added 8 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block.

Coach Matt Hazzard noted; “Tonight was our first game on the road all year including scrimmages, and we came out a bit flat to start. As the game went on though, we were able to establish the interior and dominate the boards. Jenna and Kapri really stepped up for us and got everyone involved. In all, it was a great team win on the road”.

The Generals are back in action Saturday at 1 when take on the Corning CC Red Barons.
