Second Half Surge Sends Generals to National Championship

Herkimer NY- The Bunker Hill Bulldogs were the first to score in the D-III Semifinals friday night at Paul Wehrum Stadium. In the 16th minute , forward Arnaud Abdoun scored his first of the day, and his forth goal of the tournament. The Bulldogs rode the 1-0 advantage to the half. 

The second half was all the Generals though. Within the first minute of the second half, the Generals Ikiel Collins-Brown (Monroe, NY) tied up the game on a Yamato Fujishima free kick (Saitama City, Japan). The game stayed knotted the next 33 minutes and qith nearly 12 minutes left in the game, Ali Somow (Utica, NY) fed Nichals Kamjford(Sandnes, Norway) a quality look and from over 30 yards out, Kamjford pounded home his first goal of the tournament in the top left corner to put the Generals up 2-1. The Generals than again answered back at the 86 minutes when Mitchell Bourdeau (Sandnes, Norway) got a Fujishima pass and Bourdeau weaved through the middle to score the third straight goal for the Generals. 

The Generals 3-1 win moved them on to the National Championship Sunday 11/15 at 1 pm. The Generals (12-1-0) will face off against Dallas-Richland Thunder Ducks (16-0-1).
