Employment opportunities in computer science are growing. Our Computer Science degree gives you experience in programming and prepares you for transfer to a four-year program.
Computer and Network Security A.A.S.
Prepare for a career in the field of Information Technology. You will learn to install, configure, and maintain computer and networking-related equipment. Hands-on training utilizes physical and virtual server environments to provide you with the resources to build real-world secure information technology solutions.
Computer Science A.S.
The Computer Science A.S. program places a strong emphasis on programming theory, object-oriented programming, and data structures, currently using the Java and/or Python programming language. Graduates are able to transfer to a four-year college at full junior status, to continue studies in a more specialized area of computer science.
Electrical Technology A.A.S.
Prepare for careers in the design, application, installation, manufacturing, operation and/or maintenance of electrical/electronic(s) systems, with a focus on smart grid technologies. Created in partnership with Buffalo State University and the New York Power Authority, students train in a state-of-the-art smart grid laboratory, allowing for experiments in generation, transmission, and distribution of electric power, as well as smart grid and renewable energy technologies.
Engineering Science A.S.
The Engineering Science program provides a sound academic core preparing students for transfer into baccalaureate programs in mechanical, industrial, chemical, electrical, civil, and environmental engineering.
Quality Assurance-Science A.S.
From business management to a technician role within a variety of private sector industries—manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, health services, food and drug production, and environmental/construction services—a Quality Assurance degree will prepare you for real-world application. Graduates will be prepared for entry-level positions in quality assurance or transfer to a four-year college or university. This program is also available entirely online.
Science A.S.
Our Science program mirrors the first two years of a bachelor’s degree program. Students prepare for transfer into a wide variety of science disciplines including biology, biotechnology, chemistry, chiropractic, environmental studies, forestry, forest technology, geology, landscape architecture, medical technology, nursing, pharmacy, pharmacology, physical therapy, physics, plant science, radiologic technology and science education.
New, spacious, state-of-the-art facility housing five science laboratories (biology, chemistry, physics, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology), and a preparation room and greenhouse. Built to reflect curriculum trends and innovations in laboratory science courses, the Science Center provides students with the tools necessary to be competitive in the 21st Century.
